Dear Friend,
Warm greetings, and thank you for taking the time to learn about Harvest Community School – Matasia (HCSM), a Mercy Mission School.
For over eight years, HCSM was a vibrant and impactful institution, widely recognized both within the Maasai community and across the country as a center of excellence. The school became known for nurturing disciplined, responsible, and hardworking learners.
Our distinct approach has always been centered on providing high-quality subsidized education, and full scholarships for carefully selected, self-motivated vulnerable children. These learners were fully integrated into a dynamic school environment, fostering a healthy, inspiring, and transformative educational experience for all.

Together, We Can Rebuild
Our Challenge
Unfortunately, the school has remained closed since 2020. At the time, we operated from rented premises. When the COVID-19 pandemic led to nationwide school closures, we were forced to shut down. Upon reopening, we were unable to regain access to the facility.
Like many private institutions operating in rented spaces, we were compelled to cease operations—and have remained closed ever since.
A New Opportunity
Today, we have been presented with a rare and life-changing opportunity: To purchase the very property we previously occupied.
To acquire the half-acre land, renovate existing structures, and reopen the school, we seek to raise USD 400,000 within the next 6 months.
We already possess the necessary furniture and equipment. With your support, we can restore this institution and continue transforming lives.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide excellent, inclusive education while creating equal opportunities for all learners.
For over 13 years, HCSM served as a place of hope—offering subsidized quality education, balanced nutrition, and full scholarships to vulnerable yet determined children. We are proud to note that, within our local area, we were among the very few private schools if not the only one offering full scholarships to selected vulnerable learners.
Through a supportive and nurturing environment, we empowered students to build brighter futures and contribute meaningfully toward breaking the cycle of poverty in Africa.
Our Impact
For the last 13 years Over 300 students successfully graduated from HCSM.
Alumni consistently demonstrated strong academic performance, discipline, and personal growth in secondary schools.
Our legacy reflects a solid educational foundation and holistic learner development.
