EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF RAI MINISTRIES
RAI MINISTRIES SOCIETY is a society dedicated to the belief that the marginalized communities must be encouraged to be free from servitude, despondence, forces of ignorance and human misery by enlightening them through relevant informal practical education and the provision of life skills.
Founded on the 8th day of June 2005 the society was conceived and organized to address social, cultural and intellectual needs of numerous generations and to assist in the provision of opportunities for self-development. The mission of Rai Ministries is to enlighten, enrich, educate and empower marginalized and poor communities mainly in the Great lakes region of Eastern Africa.
The Society’s objectives implemented by well-trained staff and volunteers, provide opportunities for the marginalized and poor communities to develop psychologically, socially, intellectually, economically, and in many other ways.
With its objectives of empowering, guidance, counseling, training, nurturing and encouragement, the society , provides these communities and individuals of all ages with opportunities for self-development and eventual communal economic stability and developmental progress.
Recognizing the needs that exist in the marginalized communities, through our On Location Training program, using interactive down to earth lectures, seminars, humerous demonstrational workshops, and conferences to achieve this vision.
The ministry seeks to empower the marginalized population so that they can provide for their basic needs, have a sense of self-worth, self-respect, identity, dignity and recognition and at the same time be free from perpetual misery,ignorance,avoidable diseases, and dogmatic beliefs on peasantry, herding, environmental conservation and community policing.
The soviety’s objectives are accomplished by implementing stimulating activities and materials that are well organized; down to earth, relevant and interesting to discuss and apply.
On-going evaluation ensures progress and cost effectiveness.
Fund raising is a continuous process and the biggest headache.
RAI MINISTRIES believes that societies and communities living in remote rural areas have very special needs which might not be appreciated by other people who live in better environmental settings.These communities have,intellectual,psychological,health, economical, social, security,enviromental needs and challenges which many times all conspire to lead to broken relationships, 'crime, poverty, injustice and environmental pollution and degradation.
And as a society we are committed to work with these grassroots communities, at their level to create the desired positive changes so they can contribute effectively not only to their own families and communities, but even at national level there will be felt positive changes
